Skygazing | December 8, 6:30pm

FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! Join us as we learn about the night sky, talk about the Geminid meteor shower, and explore the wonders of the Universe!

Your Skygazing adventure begins under the stars as you take a seat in the Captain Alan Bean Planetarium. You'll be immersed in stories about the stars, the wonders of our solar system, and the legends behind the planets and constellations.

You'll also learn about the real star show taking place in the sky this time of year... the Geminid meteor shower. You'll find out when this stellar event peaks and how you can best position yourself to see this dazzling display.

After our planetarium program is complete, we'll head outdoors for viewing. With a variety of telescopes at our disposal, Talcott's astronomers and volunteers from the Astronomical Society of Greater Hartford will help you view stars, planets (we'll be looking for Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Uranus) and more!

Don't miss this out-of-this-world view of the night sky and the Farmington Valley!
