Located on a unique mountaintop site in Avon, Connecticut, Talcott Mountain Academy is a co-educational, independent day school for students in grades K-8. Since 1983, TMA has offered an exciting, multifaceted and integrated curriculum which is dedicated to preparing intellectually excited young people for a full and productive life in a technologically oriented world. Our diverse students body is racially and culturally mixed. The ratio of students to teachers is less than 8:1.

Using a variety of teaching styles, interdisciplinary and collaborative methods, our staff members encourage the development of problem solving, creativity and critical thinking skills. Our students are of above average ability, creative and task committed.
