The Science Center (TMSC) was established in 1967 to further the understanding of science in the lives of students, teachers, and adults. It functions as a learning laboratory facilitating the use of sciences. As an outgrowth of the successful Saturday programs the decision was made to start a school based on these objectives. In 1983 TMA was opened as a model for school for intellectually excited students as a division of the TMSC. The Academy shares the same board of directors and many excellent resources such as teaching staff, facilities, and equipment.The Academy's mission is a school for intellectually excited students with a full curriculum whose focus is on science, mathematics and technology. |
