The 2017 Amazing Eclipse

If you can't travel to the path of the eclipse, join us for the next best thing; experience this unique natural phenomenon with TMSC! 

 

 

K-8 STUDENTS: Don’t miss this special one-day, hands-on program to view and learn about the eclipse!

 

What is a solar eclipse? With fun, hands-on activities, students will explore the sun, light and shadow, and discover the science behind a total solar eclipse! Students will learn how to view the eclipse safely and build their own viewing devices. CAPACITY HAS BEEN REACHED FOR THE K-8 PROGRAM. Eclipse Safety & Viewing Tips

 

Students should bring lunch and a snack. Dress for the weather and 
outdoor adventures 
(don’t forget sunscreen!).

 Bus transportation 
provided from Avon 
& West Hartford.

 

PUBLIC VIEWING FROM 2 - 4 P.M. REGISTRATION CLOSED  Parents, siblings & friends are invited
 to learn about and view the eclipse with telescopes and other equipment that is properly outfitted for solar viewing. RSVP's are required for entry. CAPACITY HAS BEEN REACHED FOR THE PUBLIC VIEWING.
